She loves pets (that belong to other people) almost as much as she loves coffee (that she drinks too much of) and riding the NYC subway. Hilli painted a lot as a child but as an adult majored in graphic design which is a bit like drawing but with shapes and letters. After graduating she designed a bunch of stuff for the internet, but when given the chance continued drawing, mainly characters. Today Hilli's focus is children's books which allow her to be a bit silly and less of a grown up. She loves using happy colours and her favourite subjects are cute animals or little kids with missing teeth and messy hair.
